HAWK are proud to be the first to market a unique parking sensor kit that has a total of 6 sensors. Four are to be mounted at the rear and 2 sensors are mounted at the Front. A Speaker (not a Buzzer) comes with the system for mounting anywhere in the car which gives audible bleeps with increasing frequency as you get closer to an obstacle.

This parking sensor system is like most of the original parking sensor systems from manufacturers, using a Speaker warning system, but not any display unit. The speaker can be fixed anywhere in the car. The warning Speaker sounds in different frequencies according to different distances.

How it works

The system works by radiating an ultrasonic beam covering the rear of the vehicle. The beam is reflected by obstructions and re-enters the sensors. The reflected beam information is processed to calculate the distance of the obstruction.
The system switches on automatically when the reversing gear is selected, and all 6 sensors are activated at the same time. The Parking Sensor kit can be manually activated by pressing the brake pedal twice rapidly. The parking sensor remains active for approximately 30 Seconds after coming out of reverse gear.

With ba built in a custom Digital Signal Processor (DSP), the HAWK Parking sensor gives out 2 different sounds for the Front & Rear Sensors, so you know which sensors are activated. No other parking sensor kit in the world has this feature.

This system can be used as either a 4 Sensors kit or a 2 Sensors kit.


Maintenance

No routine maintenance or adjustment is required. Dirt, frost or snow accumulated on the sensors may cause the system to activate incorrectly. Clean carefully with a soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or spirits. Applying hot water in frozen conditions may damage the sensors. The sensors can be washed carefully with warm soapy water.
